Dula Ta
------------------------------------------------

Original Theater Production Mounted by MSU-Kabpapagariya Ensemble
Script, Concept and Direction by
Romeo F. Narvaez
------------------------------------------------

Dula Ta is considered the most powerful Mindanao play these days. It depicts Mindanao problem from the eyes of children. Children love to play but Dula Ta goes beyond that. The literal meaning of Dula Ta is “let’s play” but as the story unfolds onstage the audience begins to have a different interpretation of the true meaning of the title.

Dula Ta was conceptualized and mounted to be a “portable” production that can easily be presented in any venue available in any kind of schools found in the barangays. It was never designed to meet the production value requirements of major productions that are usually featured in theater festivals.
